Peter Cismarescu, Basso

Peter Cismarescu was born in Munich and started playing the violin at the age of five. He was a soloist with the boys' choir Tölzer Knabenchor and studied classical opera and concert singing with Professor Gabriele Fuchs at University of Music and Performing Arts Munich and at Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding Munich.

During his studies he was able to perform several roles in operas including the title role in Don Giovanni, Papageno in The Magic Flute, Guglielmo in Così Fan Tutte, Nardo in La Finta Giardiniera (all by W.A. Mozart), Podestat in Le Docteur Miracle by Bizet, Savaor in La Vida Breve by Manuel de Falla, Frank Maurrant in Street Scene by Kurt Weill, Max in the premiere of the opera Die Verlorenen Gedanken by Marco Hertenstein and Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss. He was able to work with Munich Radio Orchestra conducted by Ulf Schirmer or the Munich Chamber Orchestra conducted by Alexander Liebreich.

Among others, he had the opportunity to perform at Prinzregententheater München, Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, Pasinger Fabrik Munich, Stadttheater Kaufbeuren and in Königliches Kurhaus Bad Reichenhall.

Peter Cismarescu participated in workshops held by Christian Gerhaher, Ingrid Kremling and Peter Neff.

2009 he was a finalist in 24. International Robert Stolz Singing Competition in Hamburg.

He is a founding member of vocal ensemble „Nostalphoniker“, which was accepted by Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now in 2011.
